Travelling on your own?

Join a guided group.

You don’t need to bring your own group. Enquire for an individual place and share the Camino with other travellers, accompanied by a local guide. Groups have 3–7 participants; departures are confirmed once the minimum of 3 is reached.

Guided package inclusions apply. Double/twin sharing is subject to a suitable room-sharing arrangement; a single room is available at an additional supplement.

someone who calls it home.

I’m João Gomes, founder and guide at Ride North. Northern Portugal is where I ride, guide and share the places that make this part of the world special.

A few good
questions.

A little clarity goes a long way. And if there’s anything else on your mind, just ask.

Talk to João ↗
Which route is right for me?

Choose the Coastal Way for ocean scenery and seaside towns, the Central Way for heritage and the classic pilgrim atmosphere, or Chaves for a quieter inland journey with more climbing. Tell us your interests and riding experience and we’ll help you decide.

How many people can join a journey?

Private groups have 3 to 7 participants. You can also travel alone and join a guided group. These departures require at least 3 participants in total and have a maximum of 7. Individual places are available with a guide only; all riders use e-bikes.

Can I ride an e-bike?

Yes. All our journeys include e-bikes. We’ll confirm the suitable model, size and fitting in your personal proposal.

How can I choose my travel style?

Each journey is for one private group of 3 to 7 people, with e-bikes. Select Private with guide, Private and self guided, or Join a guided group when enquiring. Self-guided includes hotel reservations, luggage transfers and a support van. Guided is all-inclusive, with a cycling guide, booked hotels and all programme meals.

How are the eight days organised?

Day 1 is arrival and the first hotel night. Ride for six days on days 2–7 and spend the final night in Santiago. After breakfast on day 8, take the included return transfer to Porto. Guided all-inclusive includes 7 breakfasts, 6 dinners and lunches on all six riding days.

How fit do I need to be?

These are multi-day cycling journeys, so you should be comfortable spending several hours on a bike on consecutive days. All three routes include hills and mixed surfaces. We can discuss additional nights and shorter daily stages to suit your group.

What is included, and what will it cost?

Self-guided includes booked hotels, 7 breakfasts, e-bikes, navigation, luggage transfers and a support van. Lunches and dinners are not included. Guided adds your cycling guide and all meals from breakfast on day 2 to breakfast on day 8, with hotels and meals organised for you. Your personal proposal confirms the detailed arrangements, drinks, extras and total price.

Can you help us plan a private group or agency trip?

Yes. Couples, friends and private groups are welcome to enquire, as are travel agencies looking for a local cycling partner in Portugal. Share your dates, group size and preferred service level so we can discuss a tailored proposal.
